BringOurTroopsHome.US Panel Discussion

Boise, Idaho – A Meridian man who served with the Idaho Army National Guard in Afghanistan organized a bipartisan forum Thursday night at the Boise Library at Hillcrest with one aim, to urge Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Jim Risch, R-Idaho, to help bring American troops home from Afghanistan, Syria, Yemen, and other conflicts around the world.

Former Sgt. Dan McKnight, U.S. Army, 43, said 43 people — including former Lt. Governor and 2018 Congressional candidate David Leroy of Boise — attended the forum, which included a panel discussion featuring McKnight; state Rep. Tammy Nichols, R-Middleton; Boise State College Republican chair Pryce Robinson; Chris Ho, a 2018 Democratic legislative candidate in Canyon County; and Ben Adams, a former Marine who served two tours in Afghanistan who is now a student and a member of the BSU Political Science Association.
